Project: THE MIND’S EYE: A LACMA POSTER PROJECT

Year: 2021

Role: ART DIRECTION AND DESIGN

The Mind’s Eye explores the intersection of art and creativity through diverse perspectives, emphasizing both the imaginative potential and the unique challenges associated with neurodiversity. Developed as part of WE RISE 2021 in honor of Mental Health Awareness Month, this project includes graphic works by five artists—Scoli Acosta, Andy Alexander, The Revolution School, Favianna Rodriguez, and Kerry Tribe—displayed on vinyl clings along Wilshire Boulevard’s construction fence. Each artist’s work employs a unique aesthetic, ranging from figurative painting to conceptual and interactive structures, creating a multifaceted dialogue on connection within the human experience.

With The Mind’s Eye, LACMA contemplates neurodiversity within the public art sphere, positioning it as a lens for empathy and expanded worldviews. This exhibition campaign envisions a future of resilience, authenticity, and inclusion, where neurodivergent perspectives contribute to a more inclusive cultural landscape
