SAMUEL Guì YANG is a multi disciplinary design studio based in London. The house explores, expresses and proposes ideas through the various media of garments, objects, and printed matter.

Yang is guided by an interest in the human form, which developed from a background in the fine arts. His interest in fashion specifically is in how it allows contact or proximity to the living body that isn't as obvious in other artistic media.

A FLEXIBLE MARK

True to the core ethos of SAMUEL Guì YANG, Samuel’s identity is composed of a series of playful yet distinct marks using typography and hand drawn elements. As the studio continues to explore various formats and subject matter, its identity can scale with it, and at times becomes abstract yet always distinguishable.

Commissioned conceptual images created by NYC based image making duo HART+LËSHKINA, as part of UNTITLED (EPHEMERAL STUDY 1). The images explore the subversive beauty, tension and purity in the surreal qualities of daily existence, and are a reaction to the SAMUEL Guì YANG ethos.
